BUSINESS PROCESS – SENIOR CONSULTANT

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Key member of the SAP Oil and Gas Practice that helps define our client’s core strategic road map and provides leadership in their transformation journey. Help our customers understand how SAP fits into their roadmap and what functionality should be leveraged to meet their business requirements. Provide our customers key insight and direction related to industry trends, best practices, and world-class solutions. Ability to articulate the Clean Core concept and manage solutions in alignment with this principle. Broad knowledge of the SAP IS-Oil Solution and deep industry expertise (i.e. Downstream O&G, Oil Field Services). Deep SAP product expertise of the Oil and Gas Industry business processes in several core SAP areas: Traders and Scheduler’s Workbench (TSW), Marine Scheduling, Pipeline Scheduling, Rail/Truck Scheduling. Secondary Costing (Using TD & Implico SCSD), Pricing, Billing, Settle Management. Exchanges, Terminalling, Shipment Costings. Proficiency in SAP TM (Transportation Management) for freight planning, execution, and settlement. Able to architect TM solutions based on customer requirements. Knowledge of SAP O&G Downstream (TD and TSW) solution integration with TM for freight settlement. Quantity Conversion (QuantityWare). Application specific expert consulting activities (for the IS-Oil and TM application: creation of discovery documentation, conduct fit-gap analysis workshops, Implementation based on activate methodology, creation of test cases, test scheduling and execution, key user training, go-live support, and post go-live support). Extensive functional and/or solution experience with the ability to facilitate, implement, and support SAP’s products to enhance our clients’ business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. Ability to provide thought leadership and resolve complex issues in escalated projects. Performance of feasibility studies / solution reviews. Support of pre-sales activities (license and services).

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

Thought leader in the Oil and Gas Industry and deep knowledge of industry best practices. Close alignment with the SAP Sales Team to help develop account plans and to assist in positioning the correct SAP products and services. Facilitate communications between business and technology stakeholders to ensure desired business outcomes are met. Ability to facilitate Fit to Standard Workshops and help drive the customer to a clean core. Ability to scope requirements and develop detailed project plans to meet customer’s business requirements. Ensure the value realization of SAP products is realized during the implementation/transformation. Broad Industry /corporate process implementation knowledge across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP). Stay informed of the SAP roadmap, solutions, service offerings and market trends. Ability to lead teams and develop/mentor less experienced resources. Demonstrating expert knowledge of modeling standards and tools. Actual experience AGILE / SCRUM process and Activate methodology.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum five years consulting experience in Oil and Gas Industry. Deep SAP Product Expertise in several of the key O&G areas listed above and understanding of Oil and Gas industry business processes. Strong communicator at multiple levels of the organization with strong and clear verbal and written communications; an ability to conduct presales for listed modules and the ability to conduct appropriate level training for modules listed. Proven ability to communicate with C-level executives within an organization. Has experience with multiple full-cycle implementations with hands-on configuration experience. Has been in a team lead role on a major project and has provided mentoring/leadership to others. Understands the AGILE project methodology and has experience in a project setting. Experience in pre-sales and customer-facing sales roles is required.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Bachelor’s Degree – Master’s degree preferred but not required. Hands-on SAP configuration experience required. 50+% Travel. English: Fluent.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15200 - 228300 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
