What you’ll do:

 

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Visual Designer

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)

Schedule: 40 HR/week  

Expected start date: December 2024

Duration: 6 Months

 

As Visual Design Intern you will work on a small creative team to effectively communicate our brand message and values to our customers while sticking to SAP’s overall brand strategy and style as well as being able to mimic and design in the customer brand as needed. The ideal candidate will require flexibility in that the workload will be split between static graphic design, light motion design or video, microsite creation + editing, and user interfaces. You will also have the opportunity to help manage and run an in-office video studio, so a good video foundation, as well as an organized and self-accountable individual will be a huge plus.

 

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

 

Support development of interactive presentations following SAP corporate design principles

Understand time-consumption and effort of different types of requests to effectively manage the team and clients’ expectations, as well as establishing well-defined parameters for our stakeholders

Visually design business content and information through infographics, charts, PPT Templates, posters, illustrations, and a variety of other mediums

Design personalized customer facing content

Design & edit microsites when necessary

Create UI mock-ups with guidance from senior team members

Animate videos and GIFs for thought leadership and social media content

Research design trends, and industry best practices

 

What you bring:

 

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

 

Currently enrolled in an academic program (related to Visual or Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Service or Industrial Design, Digital Design Engineering, Audio Visual Design, Multimedia Design or Digital Design and Development) or recent graduate (within the past 6 Months) 

Understand and have experience with design thinking 

Ability to turn complex issues into simple, understandable, and well-designed visuals 

Must have a thorough understanding of design principles including composition, visual hierarchy, color, and balance

Must have a portfolio that demonstrates skills visual design

Have discipline to work independently and remotely

Have a hands-on attitude and be proactive with communicating

Manage and prioritize multiple design projects and fast deadlines

Have a firm grasp of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator

Previous experience working with Adobe XD, Figma, InVision or other UI tools (experience with Microsite platforms such as Folloze, TimeSites, WorkZone, and Sharepoint are a plus)

Knowledge of After Effects and or Premier Pro is a plus, experience with transitions, compositing skills, animation, motion design and or dynamic interaction is also a plus

Experience utilizing AI tools is a plus

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15-62 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
