As an HCM Release Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing release processes through development, test, and production environments. The Release Manager job function works collaboratively with all participants in software deployment projects. We are seeking someone with the desire and ability to work independently on complex issues, as well as collaborate efficiently with experts to anticipate issues that impact customer success.

 

 

 

Description:

This individial will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, testing, and the management of releases in each Cloud Landscape for multiple applications across various portfolios. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades or migrations. Where necessary, you’ll provide communication plans, strategy, and services to help product / solution management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production.  You will lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers to conduct testing, identify defects, report testing results, track defect remediation, and include software or solution updates required to resolve issues in future release plans. This role may include other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 Relevant skill set requirements include:

3-6 years of previous release and/or project/situation management experience (Solid understanding of project management principles required) 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations environment, solution support and management or development 2-4 years of experience of leading QA engineers in testing releases Understanding and knowledge of software development lifecycles Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion. Demonstrated effective communication and analytical skills. Advanced time management and process adherence skills. Advanced knowledge of analysis and trace tools across multiple applications. Knowledge of and experience with SAP HCM SuccessFactors strongly preferred. 

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, MIS, or Software Engineering or relevant professional experience.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 145000 - 246400(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
