Job Description:
Red is seeking an experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) Consultant with advanced expertise in Variant Configuration (VC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP PP, especially in Production Planning and Execution, as well as in-depth knowledge of SAP's Variant Configuration functionality. In addition, this individual should have a comprehensive understanding of SAP Best Practices and will be expected to provide strategic and consultative guidance to our clients. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to deliver optimal solutions tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support SAP PP (Production Planning) and Variant Configuration (VC) processes for our clients, focusing on both technical and functional aspects.
* Provide expert knowledge of SAP PP functionality, including production order creation, scheduling, and capacity planning.
* Develop and configure SAP Variant Configuration solutions that meet complex business requirements, including defining dependencies, features, and characteristics.
* Understand and apply SAP Best Practices to ensure that client processes are optimized and aligned with industry standards.
* Offer strategic advice to clients on how to improve and streamline their production planning processes using SAP.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., SD, MM, WM) to ensure seamless integration and alignment across the SAP landscape.
* Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements to meet the client's evolving needs.
* Provide end-user training and support to ensure successful adoption of the system.
* Assist with the testing, documentation, and deployment of SAP solutions.
* Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into SAP configurations and functional solutions.
Qualifications:
* Strong experience with SAP Production Planning (PP), especially in areas related to Production Planning, Execution, and Master Data management.
* Advanced knowledge of SAP Variant Configuration (VC), including feature and characteristic setup, configuration models, and dependencies.
* Deep understanding of SAP Best Practices and the ability to align these practices with client needs.
* Proven ability to provide consultative, strategic guidance to clients, recommending solutions to meet their business objectives.
* Hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting SAP PP and VC modules.
* Ability to analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* SAP certification(s) in relevant modules (e.g., SAP PP, SAP VC) is a plus.
