The role Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior SAP S/4 HANA Project Manager to lead large-scale, end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have a consistent record of delivering complex SAP programs within scope, time, and budget, particularly in the manufacturing industry. This role requires good knowledge of SAP project methodologies, strong leadership abilities, and experience in leading multiple critical process areas. This is a remote contract position. Role & Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of large-scale SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Develop and lead project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including executive leadership, business teams, technical teams, and third-party vendors. Drive the integration and coordination of end-to-end processes, covering critical business areas such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Production Planning, Manufacturing, and Finance. Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of SAP S/4 HANA solutions, ensuring all project deliverables meet quality standards and business needs. Facilitate project governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication, ensuring timely updates on progress, risks, and key decisions. Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration and ensuring alignment across business and technical teams. Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies to keep the project on track. Oversee the management of change requests, ensuring impact assessments and approvals are completed. Support go-live readiness, hypercare, and post-implementation review activities. Present to SteerCo and produce program scorecards to ensure transparency and alignment with executive stakeholders. What we need to see from you What you offer Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus. 10+ years of experience in project management, with a minimum of 5+ years leading SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects. Strong experience leading end-to-end projects in the manufacturing industry preferred but not critical, with exposure to multiple go-live scenarios, including staggered deployments. Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, with the ability to tailor the approach to project needs. Extensive knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, SAP implementation best practices, and cross-functional SAP integration. Ability to lead project governance, stakeholder engagement, and executive reporting. Shown ability to lead complex, multi-vendor environments, coordinating cross-functional teams. Experience in budget management, contract negotiations, and third-party vendor management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and lead diverse teams. Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification. SAP S/4 HANA certification or relevant SAP program management training. Experience managing large, multi-plant, staggered go-live projects, including management of interim operating scenarios. Soft Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Resilient and adaptable, with strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
