As a SAS Admin / Application Developer this role requires an enquiring mind, perseverance and the ability to handle a large number of concurrent projects. The candidate needs to be able to write well and to be able to deal confidently with people at all levels in the organization.

 

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Working with internal clients, and coordinating change efforts

Liaison between the lines of business and the Development team

Developing architecture diagrams and documentation  

Assisting with compliance and audit issues and documentation.

Preparation of other ad hoc support materials, presentations, and reporting.

Analyze business requirements and ensure the technical team fully understands and incorporate the requirements into the technical solution.

Create functional design documents, and successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously as the single point of contact on analysis for each project.

Effectively work with other Business Analysts, Infrastructure Engineers, Development leads and technical staff.

Mentoring and Coaching less experienced team members

Build consensus between the technical and business teams and bring open issues to resolution in order to meet the project deliverables on time and within budget.

Build networks of users in order to work more effectively and better support project and issues as they arise.

5+ years of experience as an Application Developer or programmer

Large scale information architecture experience is required.

At least 3 years experience within an AIX infrastructure with familiarity in GPFS and EMC storage desired

SAS Grid and VA knowledge is highly desirable.

SAS experience (administering SAS9.2 and SAS9.3) is highly desirable

 Experience working in a environment with multiple metadata server, making a complex architecture

 Experience with the AIX OS.

 Experience working with end users from a teaching/guidance perspective

 Experience troubleshooting a host of architectural issues ranging from security and access to performance problems.

College degree or relevant experience
