Roles and Responsibilities:
· The Remediation Analyst (RA) will be a member of a larger team of Business Analysts, Remediation Analysts, and Testing resources accountable for Customer Account Remediation. This role requires extensive interaction with business stakeholders and cross-functional groups. The candidate must possess strong communication, problem solving, and reasoning skills.
· Using documentation created by, and working with, a business analyst, the RA’s role is to analyze a customer impacting problem, identify the impacted population, determine the financial impact (if any), and create files or other collateral that will be used by other groups or systems to remediate the customer impact, update account information, and or create communications to customers. These problems can be complex, multilayered, and data intensive. Typically these problems will be of an unstructured nature, whereby the candidate will be expected to quickly assess and comprehend the situation, and develop a practical approach/strategy to the analysis. Analysis activities will include (but not be limited to), identifying impacted populations based on a set of criteria, calculating often complex financial impact ( for example recalculating finance charges over a period of months or years based on varying rates, calculating finance charges billed on sub-balances or on specific transactions over a period of time, recalculating total balances based on exclusion of specific charges, and determining if fees applied would not have otherwise been billed). The Remediation analyst will also create output files in specific formats that will be input into other systems for processing.
A qualified candidate:
· Must possess strong communication skills
· Must be Detailed and quality assurance oriented
· Must possess strong process adherence discipline;
· Throughout the life cycle of a project, specific process control procedures and documentation must be followed and completed by the RA.
· Be able to work multiple problems simultaneously
· Typically an RA will be assigned three to five problem at once
Possess:
· Experience or knowledge of Business Programming languages, Including UNIX SAS, SQL, UNIX, MS Office tools
· Proficiency in Unix SAS is preferred
· Strong analytical skills including ability to analyze data and understand database table structures.
· Proficient in Tera Data database environments. Oracle environments a plus.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· In-depth understanding of writing and maintaining UNIX Scripts.
· With ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required.
