SAS Support Engineer to support the Defense Health Agency.  We are looking for a SAS Support Engineer that will be supportive role to the SAS and Linux Systems Administrators. SAS Support Engineer will be a liason for 500+ users and SAS support staff, to address performance, query best practices, and system reliability. This role requires knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide including writing and troubleshooting SAS code. The SAS Support Engineer will be the primary POC for all SAS users responsible for tracking issues.  They will coordinate with leadership to establish regular SAS training meetings with SMEs and SAS Customer Success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical guidance to less experienced SAS users.Onboarding and offboarding of users to the environment using SAS Management Console as well as direct access to SAS Linux Infrastructure.Create and manage user accounts, groups, and roles within the SAS environment.Set up and manage user access controls and security policies.Create and Provide environment specific User Guides and Training for new SAS UsersReviews logs and monitor systems performanceTroubleshooting support:TIER 1 SAS Support (to include but not limited to):Support basic customer troubleshooting effortsSAS Code issue troubleshooting and resolutionManage SAS specific support request in ServiceNow Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in information technology systems, computer science, pre-med, or other related fields 2+ years of experience with SAS 9.4 or newer support SAS users.Detailed understanding of good data management processes Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact with interdisciplinary team members, study site personnel, and physicians Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and reprioritize based on changing demands to meet study timelines Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details Experience within the DoD and Government agencies 

 Required Qualifications

A background investigation is requiredRequires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience
