SBA Loan Officer
Overview This position is responsible for developing, soliciting, and promoting the Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending Line of Business. Facilitates loan processing by reviewing applicants and preparing submission packages. Consults with bankers and customers to deliver customer-driven, high-quality credit solutions to target markets. Focuses on building customer and business relationships to achieve goals and assist with SBA sales leads. Responsibilities Pre-screening - Assesses applicants for loan eligibility. Conducts credit analysis, identifies risks, and handles negotiations to streamline the sales process. Loan Processing - Facilitates loans requests through application, underwriting, closing, and related servicing activities. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and SBA guidelines. Sales - Promotes SBA services to bankers, associates, and third parties. Establishes goals and objectives for non-interest income revenue streams. Participates in direct calling and referral methods to solicit loans. Proactively seeks ways to maximize professional ability and results. Relationship Development - Develops relationships both inside and outside the Bank to generate loan leads. Engages with business partners in order to build a strong referral network. Enhances client retention, consultation, and satisfaction through sales and service activities. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Financial Industry including SBA lending OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Financial Industry including SBA lending License or Certification Type: null nullSkill(s): Thorough knowledge of SBA guidelines and processes, Experience in SBA financial programs created to address the various needs of small businesses, Strong knowledge of SBA SOPs, program eligibility, credit criteria, and loan structure requirements First Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
