Job Summary
The Vice President of Shared Business Operations (SBO) Technology Services will be responsible for overseeing a multidisciplinary but interrelated team encompassing master data management, security, reporting and analytics, and Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) maintenance and support. The leader will report to the Senior Vice President of Shared Business Operations and work in close collaboration with functional leaders across Enterprise IT, Finance, Procure to Pay, Human Resources, and Supply Chain. The VP will drive the development of governance frameworks and processes to support the data, reporting, and functional / technical requirements of the ERP platform. The VP ensures that the ERP assets remain secure and well-integrated as well as develops strategy to support technology innovation aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. This leader will lead efforts to standardize core application, data, reporting across the Shared Business Operations organization and the broader Enterprise IT organization. As a senior leader, the VP will play a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting a positive, collaborative remote work culture for all team members.
Essential Functions
Provide visionary leadership and management as part of the shared services organization Leadership team to ensure overall performance and achievement of CHS’ vision, strategy, and plan, ensuring support services are delivered with quality and relevance to the business, priorities are measured for success, and initiatives managed within budget. Oversee the operations of a multidisciplinary team focused on ensuring application, data and technical requirements are met to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations. Set the policies and procedures required to establish governance across the ERP capability and manage day-to-day operations. Collaborate with business and functional leaders to develop and enhance centralized reporting & analytics capability. Anticipate and audit key trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities, and position support to ensure that ERP infrastructure and systems are stable and support the demands of current programs and future growth. Lead, plan, and deploy regular upgrades in Oracle including GenAI assisted, RPA, and AI evolution. Contribute to overall strategy, leadership, values, culture, and decision-making through active membership within the Executive Governance Committee. Works collaboratively and cross-functionally with Enterprise IT leadership to align ERP operations and innovation with the enterprise-wide IT strategy including the AI strategy and Digital Technology Centers of Excellence Support the Executive Governance Committee and other fellow Executives or Senior Leaders with insightful insights, data, and/or research in key organizational decisions. Foster a service mindset and ensure cooperation and engagement with other strategic divisions and stakeholders across the organization to ensure a unified strategy across all aspects of operations. Employ an effective, diplomatic, and influential communication style that works across the organization to gain support and implement positive and successful expansion and change initiatives Employ a similar diplomatic and directive approach to vendor management engagements. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team by fostering a culture of development, feedback, and skill development for internals balanced with intentional external learning/certification opportunities as part of retention, engagement, and HR partnership strategy. Lead device management support of our hospitals/healthcare systems for RF Smart, time clocks, IPADs, scanners, etc. in collaboration with Enterprise and local IT ensuring consistent user experience and stable connection, security, and integrations. Own shared services team hardware purchasing, inventory, and recommendations in partnership with Enterprise IT and HR.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field required Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline preferred Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in a leadership role with a technical focus, managing technical releases, upgrades and enhancements, to include leading a help desk support model. Deep technical expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud infrastructure, automation implementation, and transforming customer experience required. Experience with utilizing process improvement methodologies (including Lean and/or Six Sigma), post-merger integration projects, and strategic program management and / or change management is preferred. Healthcare experience preferred. Google Suite preferred; deep Oracle Fusion Cloud knowledge required
