JOB REQUIREMENTS Education A Master’s degree in nursing is required. Licensed by Arkansas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Certification by national certifying body with prescriptive privileges. Advanced training as an Obstetrical Nurse Practitioner preferred. Experience 3 years experience in an Obstetrical setting desired. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Normal hospital/clinic environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells and temperatures by touch. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift, pull, or push >150 lbs. May be exposed to airborne and infectious materials. Working knowledge of computer systems. JOB SUMMARY Provide healthcare for patients at OBGYN Associates/may include some hospital rounds. Performs professional duties in collaboration with Physicians as follows: Assessment triage of health status of patients; formulates an appropriate differential diagnosis; develops and carries out a plan of care in collaboration with other disciplinary team members. Care will also include but not limited to, conducting history and physicals, initial and ongoing assessments, management of pharmacotherapy, ordering and interpretation of tests. Provide prenatal care to those needing service. The advanced practice nurse must demonstrate effective assessment, treatment, and teaching/learning skills. The position is required to utilize independent judgment. Attendance is an essential function of this job.
