SBS Technical Development and R&D Manager ensures a valuable contribution to Customer satisfaction in terms of product strategy definition, identification of and compliance with technical specifications, optimal planning and respect for development times, as well as guaranteeing the proposal of Product/Innovation Plans in line with market expectations and promoting technical benchmarking activities aimed at competitive product differentiation, while managing and coordinating the resources. He/she is  responsible for Stargate activities and gate approval for all SBS' R&D and Technical Development activities.

Main activities:

 Ensures the oversight of SBS Design, Testing & Validation (for the related area of responsibility) and Project Engineering activities, planning the activities regarding the reference sector and coordinating the personnel reporting to him or her, in accordance with the budget set. Guarantees that Product/Innovation Plans are constantly proposed, promoting technical benchmarking activities aimed at product innovation and competitive differentiation, with a view to continuous improvement, based on commercial requirements; Guarantees the coordination of the Project Engineering area and monitors the product development activities, updating the plan, measuring deviations and analysing their causes, in addition to preparing the recovery plans; Guarantees the authorisation of the product technical approval; Guarantees the management of customer contacts/technical relations; Ensures the promotion of benchmarking activities on products and services.

Main requirements:

Years of experience: 6-10 years Education: Degree in Engineering/Chemistry/Materials Science Preferential previous experience in R&D, Materials and Technical Development area
