Telecommunications Mechanic II: 

 

Bowhead seeks a Telecommunications Mechanic to join our team in supporting Fort Hunter Liggett for a future proposal opportunity.

Responsibilities

Job duties to include but are not limited to: 

Repair and maintain ISP cable facilities including switches, servers, and associated cabling.Assure dependable and uninterrupted operation of telephone communications by proactively identifying problems.Identify problems by using electronic testing equipment.Troubleshoot circuit packs and associated hardware/softwareDaily operations of switching systems including administration of directory numbers, route patters, and trunks.Familiar with VOIP and associated end devices. Qualifications Minimum of three years OSP/ISP cable maintenance experience.Strong background in Telephony Outside Plant service to include maintenance and service of associated switches, servers, and peripheral components, copper and fiber optic cable installation, and maintenance.Avaya training and/or certification.CompTIA Security+ certification

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
