The role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems, providing technical leadership, and supporting project execution. **WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:** Are you ready to be part of an extraordinary engineering team at the forefront of Operational Technology (OT) innovation? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SCADA Systems Engineer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking group. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and securing critical systems that power our organization's infrastructure. **HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:** 1. Take a leadership role in training line and maintenance personnel on operating, maintaining, and upgrading control systems. 2. Work closely with the Global Technology Services (GTS) department to develop and implement SCADA upgrades and enhancements. 3. Conduct component and equipment validation and qualification testing to ensure adherence to specifications. 4. Assess and recommend equipment vendors, sources, and specifications based on manufacturing needs and cost reduction requirements. 5. Manage and oversee internal and contract staff involved in control system and SCADA projects. Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development. 6. Collaborate with various departments such as Manufacturing, Packaging, Maintenance, Controls Engineering, Computer system validation, IT/IS, and Industrial Engineering on equipment controls and SCADA activities. 7. Develop and optimize maintenance systems to support the control and SCADA systems. Provide advanced technical assistance to production and maintenance teams in troubleshooting equipment and system issues. 8. Take ownership of the installation, integration, and commissioning of control systems and SCADA systems. Develop functional and technical documentation for the SCADA solution 9. Enhance and upgrade existing systems by programming AVEVA systems and other relevant technologies. 10. Undertake additional duties as assigned. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Oversee the activities of the contract staff. **Qualifications** **SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:** **Skills** • 2-4 years of experience in SCADA systems and control engineering, with a proven track record of deploying projects using AVEVA software (Edge, Historian, System Platform, Insight). • Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, VBScript, .NET, and SQL/Oracle. • Strong understanding of OPC UA and Allen Bradley driver protocols. • Ability to analyze processes and translate requirements into technical designs and solutions. • Experience in implementing, upgrading, migrating, or supporting SCADA systems. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, especially in Production and Maintenance. • In-depth knowledge of network architecture and data flow. **Experience:** • 3 years as Control Integration Engineer with experience in SCADA programming. Experience working in package development and food industry is desirable. **Education:** + B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Experience preferably in Pharmaceutical, Food, or CPG industries + Good working knowledge of cGMPs, HACCP/AIB, and FDA regulations in Food and Nutrition industries **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
