What are my responsibilities?
Responsible for the design and development of SCADA systems, including discussions with vendors and customers for design approvals. Manage technical requirements for SCADA projects. Interface and coordinate with other subsystems to ensure seamless integration of SCADA with other systems. Implement safe and best execution practices in accordance with Siemens guidelines. Assist in project execution, and in the verification and approval of technical documentation. Implement and document configuration management definitions and requirements within specified deadlines. Facilitate execution through coordination across multiple functions, including engineering, business controlling, supply management, manufacturing development, and other relevant interfaces. Establish and provide standardized reports on product/project execution to line and project management. Capable of working effectively in a matrix organization. Bear responsibility for project design, with a focus on product safety.Create and present designs for internal and external design reviews. Use SAP for the creation and release of Bills of Materials (BOM), drawings, technical specifications, and for managing change control processes. Utilize DOORS and ComplyPro tools for effective requirements management.What do I need to qualify for this job?
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Railway Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in international railway projects, preferably involving Siemens Signaling products. Proficient in computer-aided design using Autodesk AutoCAD. Experienced in communicating with suppliers and customers, both internal and external. Strong technical skills in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of railway SCADA systems. Skilled in using ProjectWise for document management and collaboration. Knowledgeable in Telecom and Power subsystems, and their integration with other subsystems. Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as IRSE, EN50126/8/9, and AREMA. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of safety-critical systems and fail-safe design principles. Willing and able to travel to project sites, customer locations, and partner offices as required.What else do I need to know?
