Here's how a(n) SCADA Project Manager for our Solar USA office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities SCADA System Design: Work with project teams to manage the design and development of SCADA systems for Solar, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and Substation projects. Provide feedback and review designs at each milestone. System Implementation: Understand how to configure, program, and deploy SCADA hardware and software, including Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and communication systems. Real-Time Monitoring: Monitor SCADA systems to ensure they run smoothly and securely. Respond quickly to alarms and issues. Be prepared to troubleshoot problems during the warranty period. Data Analysis: Review real-time and historical data to spot trends and issues, and suggest ways to improve processes based on these insights. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Work with SCADA software engineers to fix system problems and bugs. Oversee routine maintenance, software updates, and backups with partners. Cybersecurity: Work with vendors to ensure SCADA systems are protected against cyber threats and unauthorized access. Documentation: Keep detailed records of system configurations, network setups, and operating procedures. Collaboration: Work with SCADA engineers, process engineers, and IT teams to ensure SCADA systems integrate smoothly with other infrastructure, both in the office and on-site. Compliance: Make sure SCADA systems meet industry standards, safety protocols, and project-specific requirements (e.g., solar, BESS, substation). Training: Train operators and maintenance teams to understand SCADA systems and handle basic troubleshooting. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; a trade certification or post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, engineering) is preferred. 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical/electrical construction, with increasing responsibilities. Construction experience is a plus, and solar experience is a huge plus. Familiarity with PLC, Metstation, Ignition, or similar software. Ability to coordinate and review mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil, and structural drawings and specifications. Knowledge of SCADA processes, either in design or commissioning. Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent planning, organization, and time management abilities, including multitasking, prioritizing conflicting tasks, and delegating effectively. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to propose and present solutions. Ability to quickly adapt and become proficient with new software
