Turner Industries Group is looking for an experienced Scaffold Builder for maintenance work in the Piedmont, SC area.\n\nMust be able to pass craft test\nMust be able to pass a drug test\nNO per diem or relocation available for this position\n\n
\n

Functional Requirements:\n

Inspects surface for holes, objects and levelness; assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and wheels; positions scaffold by rolling it into place; secures scaffold to permanent structure by tying.\n
\n

Qualification Standards:\n\nHigh school or equivalent\nOne to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)\nAbility to read engineered drawings preferred\nAbility to operate different types of Forklift\nNational Certification preferred (may be required by client)\nWritten pre-employment qualification test\nPost-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation\nHazard Communication orientation\/test\nTurner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination\nOSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)\nJob site orientation\nJob site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)\nSafety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)\nApplicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace\nEmployee may be required to provide the following: toolbox, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrench with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit\n\n

Physical Involvement:\n

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and\/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching\/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.\n
\n

Mental Involvement:\n

\u2022 Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and\/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
\u2022 Climatic\/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances\n
