General Job Description:\n
This position assembles, positions, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications. This position also performs minor carpentry tasks such as assisting with site-specific construction tasks as needed.\n
\n
Functional Requirements:\n\nInspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness.\nAssembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and\/or wheels.\nPerform carpentry work related to scaffolding, including cutting and installing scaffold planks and other materials.\nPositions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place.\nSecures scaffold to permanent structure if required.\nSome other assembly types may include hard barricades, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc.\nPerform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.\n\n

Qualification Standards:\n\nHigh school or equivalent\nOne to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)\n\nWritten pre-employment qualification test\nPost-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation\nHazard Communication orientation\/test\nTurner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination\nOSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)\nJob site orientation\nJob site safety requirements as required by the client (long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)\nSafety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)\nApplicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace\nEmployee may be required to provide the following: toolbox, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrench with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit\n\n
