Scaffolding, Insulation & Painting Works Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scaffolding, Insulation & Painting Works Supervisor to oversee and manage all scaffolding, insulation, and painting activities on a refinery site in Lysekil (Sweden). The successful candidate will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

About the Project:

The ICR revamp project at the refinery in Lysekil involves the conversion of the IsoCracker plant to produce renewable aviation fuel (biojet/SAF) and renewable diesel. 

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Coordination:

Oversee the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures. Supervise insulation and painting teams to ensure high-quality workmanship. Coordinate with other supervisors and project managers to align activities with project timelines and objectives.

Safety and Compliance:

Implement and maintain safety standards as per OSHA and local regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Ensure all scaffolding, insulation, and painting work complies with industry standards and project specifications.

Team Management:

Train and supervise scaffolding, insulation, and painting teams. Allocate tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Quality Control:

Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with quality standards. Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and maintenance work. Resolve any quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Inventory and Equipment Management:

Manage inventory of scaffolding, insulation, and painting materials. Order new materials and equipment as needed. Ensure the proper and safe usage of all equipment. Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; further education in construction management or a related field is beneficial. Minimum of 10 years of experience in scaffolding, insulation, and painting within the construction or petrochemical industry. Proven track record of supervisory roles or team management.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager Training, OSHA Construction Safety, or equivalent.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
