Develop, produce, and maintain production units according to industry standards as directed. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Generate new job leads through networking with new construction general contractors + Analyze and evaluate project plans, specifications, scope, difficulty, and any other requirements necessary to prepare a job cost estimate and assemble bid packages + Prepare conceptual estimates and/or budgets + Perform accurate quantity take-offs and unit pricing using established company production rates + When quantity survey is complete; establish profit & overhead for project when requested + Use the Request for Information (RFI) process when information is lacking (document appropriately) + Identify and report any observed inaccuracies or omissions in plans and specifications + Maintain in the job file, all correspondence records and notes for the project being bid (log all bid documents) + Review and analyze quotes to assure they meet the standards and specifications for the project + Utilize FDT Estimating templates with proficiency to (a) extract production rates, (b) input quantity and costs according to phases of work required + Secure vendor pricing and select vendors and subcontractors by their cost effectiveness for each project + Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to completely cover scope in the most cost-effective way + Immediately respond to any vendor or subcontractor questions; resolve issues immediately and completely + Get written documentation on vendor and subcontractor quotes + Participate in weekly planning meetings + Attend pre-job meetings as required + Attend all estimating meetings + Attend project job walks + Be available on all bid days to assist in the collection and review of incoming quotes + Provide value engineering + While it is impossible to list every duty that may be asked of an employee, the Employer may ask that an employee to perform other duties as the business need arises. **Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:** + In-depth knowledge & experience in estimating scaffolding projects + Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail + Excellent math and organizational skills + Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills + Professional education and/or experience in the construction and/or relevant industries + Thorough understanding of estimating and/or construction project controls + Significant level of overall experience in the design/construction field, specifically industrial and commercial scaffolding + Proficient with Microsoft operating systems and software (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) with an ability to accurately learn new software quickly + Strong working knowledge of Viewpoint & Sutor Soft Estimating Spreadsheet + Valid California Drivers license, insurance, and reliable transportation. **Travel:** No EEO Statement: ASRC Industrial and its operating companies affords equal opportunity in employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, pregnancy, familial status, disability status, veteran status, citizenship status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected under Federal, State or Local law.
