Position Description: Responsible for accurate and courteous weighing of inbound and outbound trucks, involving direct dialog with truck drivers, organization and handling of shipping bills of lading and posting of shipments to computerized inventories. All work must conform to customer expectations and company policy and procedures Essential duties and responsibilities: + Processing outbound and inbound truck shipments over Terminal scale + Entering shipment orders in accordance with company Dual Verification procedure + Maintain professional relationships with customers, carriers and other Kinder Morgan employees + Maintain high level of attention to detail to ensure there are accurate calculations to avoid serious and costly errors + Work closely with multiple departments as a team to avoid conflicts and meet all customers' needs / multiple demands + Must be able to multi-task with shifting priorities + Must be able to utilize problem-solving skills + Taking phone calls, interfacing with truck drivers, communicating with drivers and co-workers via radio + Obtain tare and gross weights of trucks; calculate quantity of product loaded + Process company and DOT approved accurate legal bills of lading that meets KLM, DOT and customer requirements + Accurately complete product movement data in the KM and customer inventory systems while providing great customer service + Follow through on customer related issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction + Maintain proficiency and accuracy using Customers orders, Kinder Morgan Order creation system (Galahad), and Kinder Morgan's dual verification procedure + Must be able to satisfy all customer requirements as the business demands. Promote teamwork among co-workers to ensure all customers are 100% satisfied in an efficient and timely manner. + Prepare daily reports of shipments and or Bills of loading + Other duties as assigned (Buck4speed@yahoo.com) Position Requirements Education Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent Job Requirements: + Proficient in Excel, Data Entry and Outlook + Ability with systems such as SAP and/or any other inventory systems + Must be very detail ed oriented and have the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot + Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability the multi-task as well as manage the scale house office with minimal supervision + Must be able to perform work as directed by management + Individual must possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to work from written and verbal instructions + Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules + Maintain regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance Physical requirements: • Will be required to sit and stand for extended periods of time • Will be required to stoop, kneel and/or crouch on a regular basis • Must have manual / mental dexterity to operate office equipment including, but not limited to, telephones, 2-way radios, calculators and computers • Vision requirements are close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus • Include but may not be limited to walking up and down stairs, standing for extending periods of time and carrying up to 25 pounds • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers Compensation + $20-$25 + Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set.
