Position Description: Responsible for accurate and courteous weighing of inbound and outbound trucks, involving direct dialog with truck drivers, organization and handling of shipping bills of lading and posting of shipments to computerized inventories. All work must conform to customer expectations and company policy and procedures
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Processing outbound and inbound truck shipments over Terminal scaleEntering shipment orders in accordance with company Dual Verification procedureMaintain professional relationships with customers, carriers and other Kinder Morgan employeesMaintain high level of attention to detail to ensure there are accurate calculations to avoid serious and costly errorsWork closely with multiple departments as a team to avoid conflicts and meet all customers' needs / multiple demandsMust be able to multi-task with shifting prioritiesMust be able to utilize problem-solving skillsTaking phone calls, interfacing with truck drivers, communicating with drivers and co-workers via radioObtain tare and gross weights of trucks; calculate quantity of product loadedProcess company and DOT approved accurate legal bills of lading that meets KLM, DOT and customer requirementsAccurately complete product movement data in the KM and customer inventory systems while providing great customer serviceFollow through on customer related issues to ensure complete customer satisfactionMaintain proficiency and accuracy using Customers orders, Kinder Morgan Order creation system (Galahad), and Kinder Morgan's dual verification procedureMust be able to satisfy all customer requirements as the business demands. Promote teamwork among co-workers to ensure all customers are 100% satisfied in an efficient and timely manner.Prepare daily reports of shipments and or Bills of loadingOther duties as assigned
