Frontier-Kemper-Tutor Perini joint venture was awarded the Manhattan Tunnel Project, part of the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). A $1.18 billion design-build contract from the Gateway Development Commission for the HTP which aims to enhance rail resiliency by adding two new tracks between New York and New Jersey and rehabilitating the storm-damaged North River Tunnel. The project includes designing and constructing twin 30-foot diameter, 700-foot-long tunnels under the Hudson River, connecting to existing tunnels beneath Hudson Yards, and an access shaft at 12th Avenue, later serving as a ventilation facility.

DESCRIPTION:
As a Schedule\Cost Engineer at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6).
Establish project baselines and track progress against planned schedules.
Identify and analyze critical path activities and schedule risks.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment of schedules with project objectives.
Integrate schedules for multiple project components, including design, procurement, and construction phases.
Develop and manage project cost control systems, including budget forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis.
Prepare and update cost reports, cash flow projections, and cost-to-complete estimates.
Generate detailed reports on project progress, productivity, earned value management (EVM), and financial performance.
Maintain accurate documentation of project schedules, cost estimates, and change orders.
Present reports and recommendations to project stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience in scheduling and cost control in heavy civil construction projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, dams, rail, utilities, etc.).
Proficiency in Primavera P6
Experience with cost management software such as SAP, Oracle Primavera Cost, or Procore.
Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) principles.
Familiarity with heavy civil construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, contracts, and specifications.
Strong analytical skills to assess cost and schedule risks and recommend solutions.
Attention to detail in reviewing and analyzing project costs and schedules.
***Expected salary range for this position is $120,000 – $170,000 depending upon experience***
