**Responsibilities**
Under general supervision, schedules appointments for patients, medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician.
**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**
1. Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.
2. Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
3. Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
4. Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests
5. Collect insurance information and patient personal data.
6. May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance.

**Qualifications**
**Required Education**
High School Diploma or equivalent
**Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
Two years of related experience in a healthcare environment
**Pay Range**
$16.26 - $22.36 /hour
