ABOUT CANNINGTON 

 

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.

 

Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

This is a Permanent position on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

 

As the Scheduler, you will be responsible for scheduling maintenance work, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of preventative, corrective, and project maintenance. You’ll work across all disciplines for the Underground Mine, Process Plant, and associated fixed plant infrastructure.

 

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

 

Managing work orders through the work management system to ensure safe execution Developing and maintaining the 1-6 week maintenance plans for asset care Resolving conflicts and ensuring resources are available through weekly meetings Ensuring the quality of weekly plans and supporting the execution by trades and technicians

 

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

 

Proven experience scheduling maintenance work in a mining or process plant environment Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to liaise across teams Knowledgeable in SAP’s Maintenance Planning and Scheduling functionality Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing diverse workstreams

 

Qualifications for this position are: 

 

Trade or Degree qualified, or significant industry experience paired with relevant qualification Current drivers’ licence
