Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Scheduler (P6) to join our Project Controls Team in Baton Rouge, LA and be placed at a jobsite in Baton Rouge or the surrounding area. As a Scheduler (P6) you will need relevant experience with scheduling activities for multiple disciplines or crafts. Experience in capital projects, turnarounds\/ outages, or daily maintenance scheduling is required. The candidate may be asked to schedule Maintenance, Turnarounds, Small Capital Projects, or a combination of the three.\n

Essential Qualifications:\n\nTwo (2) years of experience using Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software on any combination of industrial maintenance, construction project, small or large capital projects, outage, or turnarounds\nTwo (2) years of jobsite mechanical craft experience or BS degree in construction management or related curriculum\n\nNCCER certification, craft journeyman, or foreman in industrial construction or maintenance turnaround is an additional benefit\n\n\nMust be proficient in computer-based MS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)\nPreferred experience in planning software applications. Functional Requirements:\n
Develop and maintain an integrated, resource loaded schedule using Finish to Start relationships; establish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with milestone deliverables; apply Critical Path Method (CPM) to monitor progress and schedule deliverables, prepare histograms, and present reports to the management team; collaborate with client for naming conventions, WBS, formats and activity codes; collaborate with planners to establish the most effective path of construction for maintenance to system turnover, document basis, assumptions, and clarifications of estimates of the schedule; embed AWP processes into the schedule with emphasis on transition from construction or maintenance to system turnover; monitor Engineer Work Package (EWP), Procurement Work Package (PWP), and Installation Work Package (IWP) performance as required; collaboratively work with respective disciplines, leadership, and client for, \"buy-in\" of the final schedule before issuing to the field; monitor progress against the established baseline; produce resource histograms and earn value analysis using CPM principles; collaborate with field supervision to validate progress and plan path forward, including recovery actions; speak up to suggest alternatives, when appropriate\n
