Scheduler Powell Automation
Position Summary Establishing, managing and reviewing the business master schedule for all future and current projects within the Division by working collaboratively and transparently with all functional areas. Responsible for leading the action of unplanned demand, forecast shortfalls and production/inventory changes. Responsible for optimizing divisional financial performance through ensuring alignment between customer orders and available facility and functional resource capacity. Essential Responsibilities • Develop and maintain project schedules. • Control and monitor project schedules by effectively communicating across various engineering groups and departments. • Balance current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing, engineering and procurement capacities • Review new sales order requests and provide a feasible completion date to the sales team before commitment. • Assist in revenue forecasts based on project execution plans in a percentage of completion (POC) environment. • Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information, and prepare reports as needed to ensure optimal supply chain execution. • Track reasons for schedule changes and ensure that root causes for schedule volatility are resolved. • Review planning parameters in order execution system to ensure proper order generation • Update, track and report on progress and POC revenue. • Complete, update and maintain detailed project schedules, including activities required for each task with durations/constraints. • Provide weekly status reports to Department Managers, Group Directors and others as needed • Assist in facilitating interactive planning process. • Review open requirements, monitoring vendor performance, and expediting where necessary. • Review/analyze activity durations and logic sequences; perform critical path analyses to identify potential problems and prompt pro-active correction of situations. • Review staffing/resource needs and implement process improvements based on input from project management and manufacturing. • Conduct a full analysis of each project to highlight and identify specific scheduling problem areas. • Review planning parameters in order execution system to ensure proper order generation • Review and track compliance to lead time templates • Analyze/adjust inventory levels to coincide with lead time changes. • Act as a liaison between all departments to ensure all customer commitments are met. • Attend required in house and outside training sessions. • Supports buyer/planner functions as needed Minimum Qualifications • Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Experience with Primavera P6 required • 2+ years’ experience in a material ordering, supplier relations, and schedule management. • Working knowledge of planned revenue calculations based on sales forecast (expected bookings), existing master schedule and Percentage of Completion (POC) schedules Possess a working knowledge of master scheduling of a finished product with multiple levels of process required to reach the finished stage. • Understanding of the financial impact of effective inventory management. Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects and Oracle; proven ability to learn new software programs • Able to manage multiple priorities with no direct supervision required • Learn policies and procedures, work instruction, ISO policies, Safety Rules and Regulations, and vendor products.
