SCHEDULES TECHNICIAN
Summary You will serve as a SCHEDULES TECHNICIAN in the TRAINING AIR WING SIX of TNG AIR WING SIX. Responsibilities You will perform a full range of administrative assignments that ensures that all Naval Flight Training events for SMA’s have been properly documented in the Training Management System (TMS) and Student Aviation Training Jackets (ATJ). You will perform a full range of administrative assignments ensuring that all Naval Flight Training events for Student Naval Aviators (SNA) are documented in the Training Management System (TMS) as per CNATRA Instructions. You will perform a wide variety of office automation responsibilities such as various word processing assignments; the use of graphic and database programs; revision/review of naval correspondences and instructions. You will provide admin support for all Safety/Naval Aviation Training Operations Procedures (NATOPS) correspondences, maintenance of manuals, directives and instruction for the Safety Officer, Aviation Safety Officer and Ground Safety Officer. You will retrieve Individual Flight Activity Report (IFAR) reports and Qualification Matrix projection timeline via Training Management System (TMS). You will update the monthly training plan with instructors’ flight hours, syllabus event qualifications, off-line standardization exams and evaluations coming up for renewal. You will generate required paperwork in case of student academic examination failures and ensure proper notification is made to cognizant squadron student control and other departments as required. You will manage inventories of all printed training publications, and various other instructional media and ground training supplies required in the support of all training. You will gather information for drafting correspondence and review and make necessary revisions to prepared naval and business correspondence in accordance with established instructions. You will provide management with administrative support for audits, inventories, meetings, investigations, mishaps, incidents, and other related functions. You will coordinate all scheduling requirements as tasked by the scheduling authority in the development of the daily flight schedule to include local operations, detachments, airspace, range and route coordination. You will utilize office automation hardware, various software and training management systems (TMS) to enter, revise, sort, calculate, and retrieve data to You will assist and review all government travel vouchers created by the military service member to ensure the accuracy of submissions as required by all governing instructions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative support duties for an organization or training program (e.g., data input, customer service, data gathering, preparing reports, correspondence, maintaining files, and monitoring training schedules/progress) and using automated systems to accurately document and maintain records and/or materials.
