The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling of all nursing staff through the preparation of balanced schedules, as directed by the nursing management and to provide secretarial services. The Scheduling Coordinator also serves as back-up to the Health Information Coordinator.
Qualifications
Education: High-School diploma, associates degree (preferred)
Experience: One year minimum staffing experience in a high volume nursing department is required. Previous senior care experience preferred. Previous payroll experience beneficial.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn, understand and support the Saint Therese mission and values. Strong detail-orientation, organization and clerical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft-PC based and other software for work processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics and scheduling. Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English. Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to express ideas and information (both in written and oral form) clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, and uses appropriate lines of authority. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to deal with conflict in a positive manner. Has an awareness of, responds to, and considers the needs, feelings and capabilities of others. Ability to deal with frequent interruptions, high level of stress and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimum supervision.
