Scheduling Coordinator - Outpatient Surgery

Position Summary\:

The Scheduling Coordinator schedules and facilities surgeries for the Surgical Services department and is under the direct supervision of the Surgical Services Director, or designee. The Scheduling Coordinator also performs clerical duties and is the receptionist for the Surgical Services departments

Primary (Essential) Duties\:

Schedules appointments following activity flow guidelines for surgery.
Maintains supplies needed for Surgical Services.
Prepares charts for future visits which includes gathering history and physicals from offices or other facilities as needed. Maintains a list of items needed and follows up until obtained.
Maintains competency in communication, scheduling, order entry and registration.
Interacts with physician offices regarding scheduling of appointments in a courteous and timely manner.
Discharge times and accounts (Surgery)
Add Interventions and Orders for (Surgery) Patients.
Discharge patients for RCR accounts. (Infusions).
