Scheduling Specialist
**Location:** Scotland, SD **Worker Type:** Regular **Work Shift:** Day Shift (United States of America) Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital Avera is seeking a qualified individual to join our team! We offer quality care close to home. **Position Highlights** Monday - Friday 830-500 with rotating Saturday schedule 830-1200 **SUMMARY:** Responsible for the registration of patients, receptionist duties, centralized scheduling for outreach services and outpatient clinics and other business office functions. **QUALIFICATIONS:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** + High school diploma or general education degree; one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. + Valid driver’s license. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the hospital with particular attention to the individual policies and procedures set up within the business office. + Accurate and timely registration and scheduling of all patients. + Attends morning huddle for daily updates. + Provide Customer Service by answering phones, calling, and escorting patients. + Assist with mailing and banking needs. + Verify Benefits & Eligibility for patients. + Scanning of external documents. + Receive payments via credit cards, check and/or cash. + Maintain Petty Cash and request reimbursement when needed. + Other duties as assigned.
