Scheduling Specialist LPN

**This is a full-time position working M-F, 8am-4:30pm. Weekly earned wages are an option for this position.**
**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** As the Scheduling Specialist LPN, you will schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures and ensure that alternate resources have been assessed and that the patient meets the guidelines for Choctaw Referred Care. You will report to the Manager.
**Primary Tasks:**
1. Procure health services from private providers through written contracts and agreements within established policies and procedures.
2. Negotiate and award purchases of health services within delegated monetary authority parameters.
3. Provide initial and follow-up assistance for hospital admission in outside hospitals through contract providers.
4. Notify Case Manager of potential long-term admissions; follow up on cases involving alternate third-party resources.
5. Provide direct assistance to patients concerning denials of payment for health care services or other matters related to Choctaw Referred Care.
6. Schedule appointments for patients and make travel arrangements.
7. Schedule and obtain prior authorization for patient appointments at outside providers per order of referring physician ensuring appropriate specialty is utilized.
8. Perform preliminary review of CRC referrals and requests.
9. Confirm patient eligibility regarding Indian Descent and residency requirements per Choctaw Referred Care guidelines.
10. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
**Required Education and Experience:**
* High School Diploma GED
* Current LPN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing
* Understanding of HIPAA regulations, Joint Commission and Choctaw Nation Health Services (CNHSA) policies and procedures
* Two [2] years of experience
