Posting Details Job Title Scholarly Communication Strategies Librarian Department LIBRARY PUBLIC SERVICES Position Number FP147A Job Description Reporting to the Head of Research and Scholarly Communication, the Scholarly Communication Strategies Librarian is responsible for leading initiatives at Old Dominion University Libraries related to scholarly communication, open access, scholarly publication, and research impact. The position plays a vital role in advocacy and support for faculty, researchers, and students in navigating the complex landscape of scholarly communication and publishing. The librarian coordinates with the Libraries’ Digital Archivist to manage content and discoverability of resources in ODU’s Digital Commons repository. The librarian works closely with the department head, Research Data Management Librarian, and research librarians to raise awareness and advocate for equitable and sustainable models of scholarly communication and publishing.
