Mental health professionals know that youth and teens need support more now than ever before. This position offers the opportunity to improve lives by offering direct support in a school setting. This full-time role will work in the middle and high school in the Hancock School District.

Responsibilities

Provide services in schools and in community settings focusing on individual, group, and family therapy. Demonstrate skills in evidence-based practices such as TF-CBT, ACRA, CBITS, trauma informed care, and developmental stages. Refer and link clients to school and community resources and to treatment at Chestnut for mental health and substance use services. Help consumers to regain control over their lives through self-directed recovery. Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness. 

Qualifications

Must have a master’s degree in social work (MSW) with a provisional MO license of Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW) or a master’s degree in counseling with a provisional MO license of Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) required. Must obtain a MO LCSW or LPC within two years from hire date. Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and be insurable. Basic computer skills including MS Office suite and an electronic medical record.
