Demonstrates the ability to work in collaboration with district personnel to provide clinical services to identified populations. Provides prevention, case management and consultation services to individuals in schools. All services are family focused and are provided in the office, schools, home or other community settings. This is done in accordance with the Agency’s Vision, Mission and Values.
Specific responsibilities include:
Provide individual and group counseling to students based on referral from school district staff. Provide Training and information sessions for parents and other stakeholders on mental health awareness and risk factors Facilitates/co-facilitates groups within the schools as well as in the community as needed utilizing evidence based curriculum's Being part of an interdisciplinary team with educational staff, completing progress monitoring and providing services dictated by student's IEP Team for students who are referred due to currently having barriers to learning due to possible substance use and/or mental health concerns.Performs screening assessments as required and participates in outcome initiatives.Provides individual counseling to students based on referralFacilitates psychoeducational groups within the schoolsAccurately enters service documentation into the electronic health record and data into the required reporting systems within established time-frames Completes all necessary reports within established time-framesAssists with crisis intervention/prevention servicesDevelops strong working relationships with schools through respectful communication and accountability. Provides consultation and training to school staff on mental health awareness and risk factors. Make recommendations for initiatives around school based mental health and prevention strategies

QualificationsEDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related Human Services discipline. Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Associate Counselor encouraged to apply.

EXPERIENCE: : Minimum of two years verified paid experience providing mental health treatment required. Current and valid driver’s license required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques – upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements, normal hearing and vision. Occasional use of computers and office equipment. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches (S&PA) techniques.
