As a School-Based Liaison, you will serve as a vital link between schools, families, and Brightli services. This role is responsible for initiating and facilitating access to mental health support for students and their families within the assigned schools or school districts. Our ideal candidate is passionate about student and family wellness, has experience in mental health or social services, and strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Accept referrals from assigned schools/districts and notify referral sources promptly

Contact families within 3 business days of receiving student information

Guide families through Medicaid eligibility screening and application processes

Verify benefits for privately insured families and screen for grant eligibility

Refer families to appropriate internal providers based on funding and insurance

Conduct comprehensive family assessments and identify needs and resources

Collaborate with schools and community agencies to identify supportive programs

Respond to emergency situations with sound judgment and appropriate support

Demonstrate understanding of the School-Based Services program’s mission and goals

Complete charting and documentation in a timely manner

Comply with Brightli’s operational guidelines and ethical standards

Attend staff development, meetings, and training sessions

Support management through data collection, evaluation, and grants

Participate in self-evaluation and quality assurance processes

Perform additional duties to support behavioral health services as needed
 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work (preferred), or other related human service fields

High school diploma with experience in mental health or a related field may be considered

 

Additional Qualifications:

Proficient in reading and interpreting documents; strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to perform basic arithmetic

Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and community partners

Knowledge of community resources and experience in engaging stakeholders

Willingness to follow directions, accept supervision, and uphold professional ethics
