As a School-Based Support Specialist, you'll provide on-site intervention in area schools, collaborate with school staff, monitor client progress, and develop individualized treatment plans. Our ideal candidate is passionate about youth mental health, has experience in human services, and possesses strong communication and advocacy skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site intervention in schools, collaborating closely with school staff.
Participate in monitoring client progress in treatment programs.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
Advocate for clients and assist in accessing mental health services.
Connect clients with community agencies and support resources.
Facilitate social, vocational, educational, and recreational activities.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
There are several ways in which you may qualify for this position, including education, certification, or experience.
Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, Rehabilitation Counseling
OR
Relevant Work Experience:
Four years of experience in a related human services field may substitute for educational requirements.
Related fields may include direct support roles such as case management, residential support, developmentally disabled support, and vocational rehabilitation.
A combination of education and experience equaling four years is required.
Required License/Certification (one of the following):
Valid Driver’s License
Current Auto Insurance
Favorable Recent Driving Record
Additional Qualifications:
A proactive, client-focused approach to mental health advocacy.
Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt and collaborate effectively with school staff and community agencies.
