SCHOOL BASED SUPPORT SPECIALISTJefferson City, Missouri
(Year-round employment)
Overview:
The School Based Support Specialist provides support and activities through an organized treatment plan designed to ease an individual’s immediate and continued adjustment to community living by using advanced knowledge of psychological concepts and coordinating delivery of mental health services with other services provided by practitioners and community agencies.
What you’ll get to do:
Provide on-site intervention in area schools for clients enrolled in the program and will collaborate closely with school staff to ensure appropriate client care.Participate in the process of monitoring client progress in treatment programsDevelopment of specific individual treatment/rehabilitation plansProvide individual assistance to clients as a resource in accessing needed mental health services and completing activities of daily living skillsAssist the client to access and utilize a variety of community agencies and resources to provide ongoing social, vocational, educational, and recreational support and activities.Qualifications:
Bachelor is Degree In: Psychology, Criminal Justice, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Recreational Therapist, Human Development and Family Studies, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Sociology.Valid Driver’s License, Current Auto Insurance, Favorable Driving Record.Reliable Vehicle.Where you’ll be working:
