School Behavior Specialist, Sheppard Pratt School - Cumberland, MD

The Sheppard Pratt School in Cumberland is a nonpublic special education day school dedicated to providing year-round educational, vocational, and daily living services to students in grades K-12.  What to expect.

You will assess, develop, and implement behavior support plans for students with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Specific responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans (BIPs). Conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and ongoing assessments to monitor progress. Providing training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies. Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

The pay range for this position is $56,700.80 minimum to $87,568 maximum.  Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

Master’s degree in a related field of study. Two years of behavior assessment and management experience. For internal candidates: a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience (2 of which must be within SPHS) would be considered a substitute for a master’s degree.
