School Bus Terminal Manager
Dell Transportation Corp. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations the Terminal Manager will oversee all terminal operations; supervise dispatch staff; coordinate bus, driver and attendant operations; manage administrative matters; interface with employees, staff, clients and passengers. Job Responsibilities: + Provide leadership guidance to dispatchers and other staff. + Manage routing schematics/ billing /fuel and mileage. + Implement policies and manage union contracts. + Routinely conduct staff meetings to encourage communication throughout the workplace. + Monitor expenses, solve customer complaints and find solutions to improve transportation services. + Oversee in district and other customer contract requirements. + Prepare documentation (i.e. incident reports, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information. + Review and approve payroll. + Coordinate with Shop Manager for vehicle maintenance, repairs and DOT scheduling. + Communication with parent and school district representatives. + Communicate with Safety Supervisors for safety related issues, disciplinary actions and follow up training classes. + Communicate with training department and 19A Supervisors to ensure driver and bus attendant compliance. Job Qualifications: NY State CDL A, B or C license with P & S endorsements. + One (1) year prior dispatch and supervising experience at a school bus company or equivalent. + Computer proficient in MS Office 365 (i.e., Word, Excel). + Possess excellent communication and customer service skills (both verbal and written). + Good problem solver and strong abilities in crisis management; organized and detailed work habits.
