Position Overview: We have a full-time School Counselor opening in a growing and highly supportive school in South Holland, Illinois supporting 4th-5th grade students! At this school, you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success. Start Date: ASAP-June 16th, 2024 pending emergency days/snow days.  Opportunity to return for the 25-26 school year!  Compensation:  $50,000-$64,000 annualized salary School Counselor Responsibilities: + Ability to work full-time, Monday, Tues. Thurs., and Friday 8:00am-3:15pm, and Wednesdays until 4:15pm. + Support 4th-5th grade students. + Work alongside a dedicated and experienced school social worker  + Meet with students for counseling sessions. + Provide SEL push-in lessons into groups. + Support a caseload of 9 or less students. + School Counselor will be expected to be able to take on recess duty with students when needed and they can also hold 1:1 sessions for students during their lunch. + This school team utilizes second step. The School Counselor will help the school with the various topics of the month.  + Other duties as assigned. School Counselor Job Requirements: + A Master’s Degree is required. + Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement is required.
