What You Would Do:
You would provide health services to participating schools in collaboration with the school principals and under the general direction of the School Health Program Coordinator. You would develop and implement health policies and procedures. You would also serve as a resource to school faculty and staff for health and first aid education. You would plan and implement care for students with complex health needs. Provide direct care and education to the student body. Serve as a liaison between the school, community agencies, and professionals dealing with the health and learning needs of students.
General Requirements:
Program development and school health or pediatric nursing experience preferred.
National School Nurse Certification preferred.
Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.
Education:
An associate or bachelor's degree from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
License/Certification:
Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to the hire date.
IDAHO ONLY: Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk
