The University of Utah School of Dentistry ( UUSOD ) seeks qualified candidates with the skills and interest in directing a pre-doctorate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery ( OMFS ) program. The UUSOD thrives on high-quality education and innovation while being committed to providing care to underserved populations across Utah. This is a 0.8-1.0 FTE position or 4-5 days per week.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ didactic, simulation, and clinical curriculum development that meet the programmatic requirements laid out by the Commission on Dental Accreditation ( CODA )
+ managing and attending the pre-doctorate OMFS clinic, ensuring evidence-based care
+ faculty recruitment and calibration
+ work collaboratively with all UUSOD sections, including conservation and restoration, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral pathology, and periodontics
Faculty are hired at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank. This position will be in the Career-line, (Clinical) Track. Rank will be dependent on qualifications.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Possess a DDS , DMD , or equivalent degree and be eligible for an unrestricted dental license in Utah. Requirements for a Utah dental license are found on**DOPL**.
+ Extensive training or clinical practice in OMFS
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Completed an accredited advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
+ Background in teaching
+ Background in clinical practice
