Work-Study award status may be viewed through CIS on the Financial Aid Status page. This position works with the School of Dentistry Advancement and Communication Team Team to capture and preserve the School’s history, past, present and future. They may provide support for multiple events throughout the school year. Assists with social media and e-newsletter content, creation and submission. I will support fully in your role and you are encouraged to foster a supportive, anti-racist, equitable, and inclusive environment for our patients, students, faculty, staff, and the communities we serve. **Responsibilities** - Research what kinds of history should (and should not) be preserved and the best ways to do that (physical, electronic, video, voice, photos, etc.) - Benchmark what other departments (at the U) and other dental schools are doing to preserve and capture historical and important moments - Collect history (record and document stories, conduct interviews, work with videographer on any video histories, gather historical and relevant documentation, etc.) - Work with the Office of Student Life to capture student histories, photos, student engagement and participation, etc. - Connect with alumni, faculty and staff to capture their stories and add to the history - Update/maintain contact information for current and past students of the dental school - Work closely with the Eccles Health Sciences Library to add to their collection - Assist in curating a history exhibit for the 10-year anniversary of the Ray and Tye Noorda Oral Health Sciences Building - Create a system to manage, archive and/or display current and future historical items/donations - Digitize photos, images, documents, etc. - Create a social media campaign – like #throwbackthursday - Other duties as assigned **Minimum Qualifications** One year of general office experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); effective communication skills, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. A hiring department may require a minimum typing ability. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
