School Psychologist - Contractor

Job Description

The STAGES School Psychologist provides psychological services within assigned schools including, but not limited to, evaluations, reports, providing related educational recommendations, consultation, therapy, and any other applicable educational services for students of the school. The School Psychologist will obtain licensure in multiple states and serve students across multiple schools as well as supervise Psychometrists or graduate students as they provide services to students.

This is an Independent Consultant position (1099).
This is a Full-Time role M-F Between the hours of 8am and 5pm

Complete records reviews ensuring all newly received documents (evaluation team reports, etc.) are compliant with state and local district lawsTake the necessary steps to ensure compliance when necessary for any existing student filesMaintain compliance with state, school, and company regulationsEnsure all existing documents are compliant following the guidelines set forth by the stateAdminister academic and other assessments to currently enrolled students per mandated time frames to assist the IEP team in determining eligibility and identifying current needs of studentsLead eligibility meetingsMaintains files and/or records using specified systems, e.g., progress reports, activity logs, treatment plans, reports, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and/or complianceCollect data and work samples to monitor student progress toward Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and objectivesDocument all contact with parents and interventions with studentsProvide rich and engaging therapy experiences for studentsCommitment to personalizing learning for all studentsDemonstrate a belief in all students’ ability to succeed and meet high expectationsUnderstand that a primary responsibility is to establish and maintain a positive rapport with families and regularly communicates with and responds to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely mannerProvide support to student support team (SST)/response to intervention (RTI) processesComplete eligibility paperwork within assigned school’s IEP system following school processesKeep abreast of all changing legislative issues impacting special education eligibility within assigned state(s)Provide guidance with the implementation of school, procedures and projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

Masters degree in School Psychology and three (3) years of school psychology work experience within a public-school setting or equivalent combination of education and experienceCurrently licensed as a school psychologistAbility to work independentlyAbility to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday,Knowledge regarding Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) due process requirementsAbility to conduct and interpret comprehensive psychological evaluationsAbility to provide direct psychology services to studentsAbility to work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and deliver services to childrenReceptive to receiving coaching on a regular basis with administratorsAbility to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomesAbility to create and deliver staff developmentExceptionally strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platformsMS365 ProficientAbility to clear required background check
