School Response Team Coordinator

Under supervision of the OMH Administrator, the requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The coordinator ensures strengths based, person centered quality of care provided in a culturally and linguistically meaningful therapeutic environment. The coordinator will be an integral part of the ACDP team including the rest of the interdisciplinary team and schools' programs. The functions below outline the general responsibilities associated with this position.  Each of these functions is considered critical to effective department operations and our Mission. It is expected that all staff in this position will have satisfactory attendance and will perform these functions as assigned in a competent, cooperative, and timely manner. The Job Description will be reviewed periodically for accuracy and/or adjusted according to business necessity.

The salary is $80,000/annually KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                                 Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the school response team including crisis related services Provides counseling short term to students and families to deescalate emotional distressConducts outreach to families engaging the parents/caregivers and referrals to additional mental health servicesAttend the learning collaborative for the schools and any needed follow-up and service linkage, opportunities to review process and identify areas that need improvement to ensure consistency and achievement of stated goals of the SRTCollaborate with representatives from other programs on best practices services and clinical approaches in the field of servicing schools, families, childrenServe as the direct supervisor to the staff of the school response teamMaintain information on crisis contacts that occur on the unitArrange for needed follow-up and service linkage, communicate with school personnel and parentsReview process and identify areas that need improvements to ensure consistency and achievement of program goalsComplete required reports in the SRT portalProvide professional development, support, and training to staff in collaboration with the behavioral health trainer and training requirements from the SRTCreate, maintain, and update a resource and referral database for SRT clientsConduct regular follow up with referrals as clinically indicatedAttend professional meetings, educational conferences, and workshops, to maintain and improve professional competenceAll other duties as assigned by the Administrator   REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                         Previous relevant experience in a Mental or Behavioral Health environment required.Bilingual Spanish preferred.Master's Degree in Social Work or an equivalent related field required such as MHC, MFT. (LMHC, LMSW or LMFT) requiredSupervisory experience a plusCrisis intervention, working with children, families and in schools services experience a plus.Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.Must be able to multitask with strong organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form.Commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity.Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.
