AnthroMed Education is currently anticipating to hire a social worker with one of our amazing charter school partners in Washington, DC. We are currently building our DC team as there will be a vacancy for the upcoming school year. This position is in one building with supportive leadership. You would be collaborating with Teachers, Parents, School Counselors, and other key stakeholders.

This is a full time position for this school year!

Position Title: School Social Worker
Compensation: Full Year Salary paid weekly

Support: AnthroMed Education has a wonderful LCSW Director of Social Work who helps our team with dedicated caseload support throughout the school year. You would also have access to professional development opportunities (free CEUs!), guest speaker series, a robust materials database, and more!

School Social Worker Duties:Develop, write, and implement IEP goals for counseling services to studentsImplement individualized plans to address identified needsCollaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to create a supportive school environment Act as liaison between the school, families, and community to ensure students receive necessary servicesProvide immediate support and intervention in crisis situationsConduct workshops and training sessions for students, parents, and staff on topics related to social skills and child development Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress  
Social Worker Qualifications:Previous school-based and/or pediatric social work experience is preferredMaster's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Social Work Must have LICSWDistrict of Columbia Government Department of Health Social Work LicenseDistrict of Columbia Certification as a School Social WorkerAnthroMed is an Equal Opportunity Employer
