The Schwab Network Financial News Contributor/Host will be responsible for generating market moving business news about stocks and companies making headlines. This is a great opportunity to work for an industry leader!
Responsibilities include providing actionable insights on various trends in the financial space, and will also interview industry-leading CEOs, analysts, and Wall Street influencers. This position will collaborate with the Executive Producer and Senior Producer to ensure viewers are provided with data-driven information that helps them make informed decisions.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate across network’s market coverage. Report on the biggest business stories and trends shaping the U.S / global economy. Cover major stocks and company news through the lens of an investor. Coverage of broad macro themes (economy, inflation, labor) that move stocks. Contribute to the schwabnetwork.com market minute. Provide thoughtful insights on financial disruptors across different sectors. Host various programs across the network and lead morning shows or end-of-day summaries, providing viewers with insights into the day’s trading sessions. Contribute to recap weekly show providing viewers with expert insight and analysis on the most important market-moving activity from the past week, while breaking down how it impacts the self-directed investor’s portfolio for the week ahead. Interview key industry players, including CEOs, economists, analysts, and financial experts, to provide a deeper understanding of current financial topics. Work closely with producers, writers, and researchers to prepare scripts, visuals, and on-air graphics. Be available to go live for immediate analysis of breaking financial and economic news. Continuously monitor global financial markets and be prepared to provide expert commentary on developments. Work with the programming team to develop fresh content ideas, special reports, and market deep dives to enhance the viewer experience. Moderate roundtable discussions and panels on economic policy, market trends, and future financial outlooks with a diverse range of thought leaders.
What you have

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field, or equivalent work experience. 8 years of on-air experience hosting and reporting required.Experience reporting on financial news and insights required.
