Key activities

Work closely with the Sector Head to manage and develop global client relationships within the Technology sector in the Global Industry GroupPlay a key role in delivering sector, Financial Sponsor and M&A financial budgets and overall BCF growth and financial success, via the origination and execution of Corporate Finance mandatesUnder the oversight of the Sector Head, will have specific responsibility to lead the origination, execution and monitoring of business opportunities across the client baseWork closely with clients to develop a deep understanding of their changing needs, and partner with colleagues across the Bank to provide relevant solutionsSuccess requires a delivery of Santander's Corporate and Investment Banking product suite, and diverse geographical spread to meet the needs of the client baseAt all times adhering to personal, Santander and regulatory risk, compliance and governance responsibilities

In order to develop deep and productive client relationships the role will involve:

Actively contributing strategic ideas and content to originate investment banking business, including M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, acquisition finance and leverage finance transactionsDriving the execution of transactions and development of client materials, typically assisted by Analysts / Associates and in conjunction with relevant product teams and Senior BankersUtilising and sharing financial analysis, accounting, financial modelling and other analytical skillsPreparing for and participating in client meetingsCorporate and credit risk analysis, in relation to Corporate Finance transactionsBuilding and maintaining productive internal and external networksUndertaking extra-curricular activities to assist the senior management in the running of the BCF businessParticipating in training, and focusing on own personal developmentOther general responsibilities that may come as part of the role

What we’re looking for

Software Industry experienceRelevant experience in an M&A role within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Investment Banking division desirableBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any other related field. MBA or a masters degrees is a plusStrong qualitative and quantitative research skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills in English are essentialOther linguistic capabilities including spoken and written Spanish and/ or Portuguese desirableAbility to work in a team with high effectivenessAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic, organisational skills and ability to multitask is crucialEntrepreneurial mindset with a drive for excellenceCISI Qualification desirable
