Scientific Communications Veterinarian - Royal Canin (Canada)

Job Description:

The Scientific Communications Veterinarian is a member of the Scientific Communications team, representing and promoting both Royal Canin and its products by supporting and inspiring our internal associates, empowering pet professionals, and demonstrating thought leadership through education, support, and knowledge. 

The team of Scientific Communications Veterinarians fulfill a crucial role in the dissemination of scientific education regarding pet nutrition and Royal Canin products within the veterinary community. This position focuses on communication to key groups - veterinary general practitioners and specialists, as well as veterinary schools and veterinary associations.

 

What are we looking for? 

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with active license in province of residence.Minimum 3 years in small animal practice (Ideally, you have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position).Bilingual in French/English is required. 40% of Travel is required (Between Ottawa and Toronto).You have highly developed presentation skills and can comfortably speak in front of virtual and live audiences. Outgoing personality with ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change.Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.You have high passion to better the lives of pets by transforming the way the world applies pet nutrition. 

 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

Supporting the Royal Canin business:

Educate, engage, and inspire field associates to be true promotors and advocates of our brand.Partner with sales counterparts in assigned geography to educate and grow recommendations at key accounts.Provide scientific expertise to support business activations and launches and protect brand reputation by ensuring technical accuracy of customer facing materials and resources.

Empowering Pet Professionals:

Deliver nutrition training programs for selected audiences in a variety of formats.Provide best in class training to veterinary teams associated with key accounts within your region.Be a respected source of nutritional expertise to our customers, including our Veterinary Case Consultation Service, presentations at industry events and field visits.Contribute to the development of technical resources, protocols, and programs.

Elevate and Engage through Thought Leadership and Education:

Develop strong professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within your region and actively engage with specialty referral hospital teams to elevate nutritional knowledge.Support the future of the veterinary industry through initiatives at regional DVM and RVT schools.
